Richard Madden in Talks to Join Marvel's THE ETERNALS
Richard Madden, best known for starring in the television series "Bodyguard" and "Game of Thrones", is in talks to star in Marvel Studios' upcoming film "The Eternals". Chloe Zhao ("The Rider") is set to direct from a script penned by "Ruin" scribes Matthew and Ryan Firpo. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige is producing.

The film is based on the classic 1976 comic created by Jack Kirby, which featured the titular race of ancient human beings and their adversaries, the villainous Deviants, both created a million years ago by the cosmic entities known as the Celestials. The story's protagonist will be a female Eternal known as Sersi. Angelina Jolie is in talks for the role. Madden will play Ikaris, a member of the Eternals.

The cast also includes Kumail Nanjiani and South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok, also known as Don Lee, in his American film debut.

Madden can also be seen in Paramount's Elton John biopic "Rocketman". He is also starring in Sam Mendes' World War I drama "1917".
