Taraji P. Henson Joins the Cast of Tyler Perry's WHY DID I GET MARRIED AGAIN ?
Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson is set to reteam with Tyler Perry for the third installment of "Why Did I Get Married?". The actress is set to star in the film alongside returning cast members Tasha Smith, Sharon Leal, Michael Jai White, Lamman Rucker and Jill Scott. This is Henson's fifth collaboration with Perry. The project is currently filming on location in Italy.

Perry wrote, produces, directs the film and also stars as one of the eight college friends who wrestle with challenges in their marriages during their annual reunions. Here is the film's official logline: "The couples reunite in celebration as Marcus (White) and Angela’s (Smith) daughter prepares to tie the knot. After being apart for quite some time, they learn quickly that as much as things change, they stay the same. Realizing their children have grown up to be so much like them, they must reflect on the examples they’ve set and ask themselves that age-old question, why did they get married… again?"

The ensemble cast also includes Armani Greer, Everett Osborne, Da’Vinchi, Laya Deleon Hayes, Jaden Michael, Charles L. Smith, Derrick A. King and Sydney Winbush.

The first film, 2007's "Why Did I Get Married?", was inspired by Perry's play of the same name, and it was a modest box office hit grossing $55.8 million worldwide against a $15 million budget. The 2010 sequel "Why Did I Get Married Too" grossed $60.6 million worldwide. Perry also created a spinoff series called "Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse", which premiered on TBS in 2011, where it ran for two seasons before moving to OWN for four more.
