Eva Longoria to Direct Netflix Comedy THE FIFTH WHEEL Starring Kim Kardashian and Paul Pell

Eva Longoria is set to direct Netflix's upcoming comedy "The Fifth Wheel", which hails from Kim Kardashian and screenwriter Paula Pell. Kardashian is on board to star from a script by Pell and Janine Brito. Both Kardashian and Pell are producing along with Jessica Elbaum and Will Ferrell through their Gloria Sanchez banner alongside Cris Abrego and Longoria’s Hyphenate Media Group.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it has been reported that Kardashian will play the titular "fifth wheel" alongside a female ensemble cast. The project has been a priority ever since the streamer landed the package over Thanksgiving weekend in 2023 following a competitive auction. The script has been described as one of the funnier in some time by a number of buyers who were involved in the auction.

This is not Longoria's first time helming a movie. She made her directorial debut with the Searchlight biopic "Flamin' Hot".

Kardashian can next be seen in Hulu's new legal drama series "All's Fair" alongside Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Teyana Taylor, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close
