The winners of the 78th Tony Awards were revealed on Sunday over the course of a ceremony hosted by Cynthia Erivo at the Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan. The big winner was "Maybe Happy Ending", which scored six wins, including Best New Musical.
Nicole Scherzinger won for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for "Sunset Boulevard", while Sarah Snook took home the Tony for Best Leading Actress in a Play for "The Picture of Dorian Gray". Cola Escola nabbed Best Leading Actor in a Play for "Oh Mary!", and Darren Criss earned the award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for "Maybe Happy Ending". All four are first-time Tony winners.
Branden Jacobs-Jenkins's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Purpose" won the Tony Award for Best Play; "Eureka Day" won Best Play Revival; and "Sunset Boulevard" won Best Musical Revival.
