Kevin Spacey has joined the cast of the upcoming conspiracy action-thriller "The Awakening". Directed by Matt Routledge from a script co-written with Justin Tinto and Matt Hookings, the film also stars Peter Stormare (Fargo", "Constantine", "Armageddon"), Alice Eve ("Star Trek Into Darkness"), Steve Berkoff ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"), Julian Glover ("Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade"), Matt Hookings ("Prizefighter"), former World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall ("Expendables 4") and Tinto.
The film follows Jason (Tinto) and Rebecca (Eve) as they uncover a conspiracy to control the world. Their investigation leads them into a maze of secrets, making their quest to expose the truth in a thrilling race against time.
Behind the camera, heads of department include editor Chris Gill (Kneecap", "28 Days Later"), director of photography Laszlo Bille ("Blade Runner 2049", "Dune: Part One") and stunt coordinator Luke Tumber ("Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One", "Venom: The Last Dance").
Pia Patatian's Cloud9 Studios launched worldwide sales in Cannes. The film is being produced by Camelot Films who also financed the movie alongside Tinto. Hookings also produces alongside Tim Kent, while executive producers are Tinto, Sally Woodward, Adrian Goodisman, and Patatian.

Since he was acquitted of all nine sexual offense charges in a U.K. criminal trial in 2023, Spacey has begun rebuiding his career. He is also set to star in the films "Control" and "Peter Five Eight"
