After breaking the Memorial Day Weekend record, "Lilo & Stitch" is holding in first place in its sophomore frame despite a considerable drop. Same goes for "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning", but with more underwhelming results. The martial arts drama "Karate Kid: Legends", Sony's latest attempt to revive the "Karate Kid" franchise, fell short of expectations and delivered a lackluster debut. "Talk to Me" filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou's new horror film "Bring Her Back" also opened in theaters with modest results.

"Lilo & Stitch" leads the pack with $61.8 million, down 57.7% from its opening weekend. The film has now grossed $278.9 million in North America and $334.5 million from foreign markets, which adds up to $613.4 million worldwide. The movie is already the second highest grossing film of 2025, behind "A Minecraft Movie".
"Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning" is also holding in second place with $27.2 million, a 57.5% decline from the previous frame, which is steep, but much better than the 64.4% drop of "Dead Reckoning" in its second weekend. The sequel has now grossed $122.5 million domestically after 10 days in theaters. Overseas it adds another $231.2 million for a worldwide total of $353.7 million.
"Karate Kid: Legends" opened in third place with a modest $20.3 million from 3,809 theaters. That's a lot less than the $55.6 million debut of "The Karate Kid" reboot in 2010. Overseas, it's not doing much better, adding another $26 million for a global debut of $46.3 million. At least it wasn't an expensive movie, with a production budget estimated at around $45 million. The critical reception was mixed-to-negative (59% on Rotten Tomatoes), but moviegoers seemed to enjoy it ("A-" CinemaScore).
The horror sequel/reboot "Final Destination: Bloodlines" finished its third weekend in fourth place with $10.9 million, which is a 43.7% drop from last week. Domestically, the film scored an impressive $111.8 million, which is a franchise-best. Internationally it raked in $118.9 million, which brings its global tally to $230.7 million against a $50 million production budget.
The Top 5 is rounded out by newcomer "Bring Her Back", which opened with $7 million from 2,449 theaters. That's lower than the filmmakers' last film, "Talk to Me", which opened with $10.4 million and went on to earn $48.2 million domestically. The new film also cost more with a budget of around $15 million, compared to the $4.5 million budget of "Talk to Me". The critical reception of "Bring Her Back" was very positive (90% on Rotten Tomatoes), but the audience reception was lukewarm ("B+" CinemaScore). The movie definitely needs word-of-mouth to keep it afloat in the coming weeks.
In other news, "j-hope Tour 'Hope on the Stage' in Japan: Live Viewing" made the Top 10, opening in tenth place with $0.9 million from 631 theaters. The concert movie premiered on Saturday, so that's only a two-day opening weekend.
