Brandon Routh and Mena Suvari to Star in Joseph Kahn's Monster Movie ICK

Brandon Routh And Mena Suvari To Star In Monster Movie Ick

Brandon Routh ("Superman Returns") and Mena Suvari ("American Beauty") have signed on star in the upcoming creature feature "Ick" from Grammy-winning director Joseph Kahn ("Bodied"). The script is penned by Sam Laskey, Dan Koontz and Kahn.

Inspired by the classic films of the 1980s, the film follows Hank (Routh), a high school science teacher who still pines for his childhood sweetheart (Suvari). While discovering he may have a teenage daughter (Malina Weissman), Hank must grapple with a terrifying alien anomaly invading their small town.

"Ick" will use both old school prosthetics and state of the art visual effects. The film unites Kahn with accomplished producer Steven Schneider ("Paranormal Activity", "Insidious", "Split".

Here's how Kahn describes the project: "‘Ick’ is a movie that evokes primal fears about the world today, and best of all, it introduces a unique mysterious monster. I am thrilled that Interstellar has aligned to produce this modern creature feature that is challenging and escapist fun".
