Armie Hammer has signed on to star in Paramount+'s upcoming 10-episode limited event series "The Offer", which is based on the Oscar-winning producer Al Ruddy's never before revealed experiences of making Francis Ford Coppola's iconic 1972 film based on Mario Puzo's bestselling novel.
Hammer will star as Al Ruddy, focusing on Ruddy's experience on the set of the iconic mob drama. Ruddy will also serve as an executive producer alongside Nikki Toscano ("Hunters") and Leslie Greig ("Hatfields & McCoys").
The miniseries will be written by Oscar and Emmy nominated writer Michael Tolkin ("Escape at Dannemora"), and he will also executive produce.
Hammer can also be seen in Kenneth Branagh's "Death on the Nile", and will also begin filming the Jason Moore-directed "Shotgun Wedding", in which he stars opposite Jennifer Lopez. Next year he returns to the stage in the Tracy Letts play "The Minutes", directed by Anna D. Shapiro.
