Salma Hayek Eyed to Join Marvel's THE ETERNALS Movie
Oscar-nominated "Frida" and "Desperado" actress Salma Hayek might join the cast of Marvel's "The Eternals" based on Jack Kirby's 1976 comic book. Rumors say that the 52-years-old actress is in negotiations for a yet unknown role.

Directed by "The Rider" filmmaker Chloe Zhao, the film will focus on the titular race of ancient human beings with superpowers and the genetic potential to mentally manipulate limited quantities of cosmic energy, who were created a million years ago by the cosmic entities known as the Celestials. The story's protagonist is a female Eternal named Sersi.

The cast already includes Richard Madden as the male lead Ikaris, and Kumail Nanjiani and Ma Dong-seok in unspecified roles. Angelina Jolie is also reportedly in talks for the lead female role. The screenplay was written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo ("Ruin").

Hayek is also set to star in the sci-fi drama "Bliss" opposite Owen Wilson and Madeline Zima, the drama "Molly" starring Laura Linney and Elle Fanning, the sequel "The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard" with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, and the comedy "Limited Partners" with Rose Byrne and Tiffany Haddish.
