Anya Taylor-Joy to Star in Edgar Wright's Thriller LAST NIGHT IN SOHO

Anya Taylor-Joy Picture
"The Witch", "Split" and "Glass" star Anya Taylor-Joy has been chosen as one of the leads in the upcoming thriller "Last Night in Soho" from Focus and Working Title.

Directed by Edgar Wright ("Baby Driver") the film has been described as a psychological horror-thriller set in the hip London district of Soho. Wright co-wrote the script alongside Krysty Wilson-Cairns ("Penny Dreadful"). No plot details are available at the moment. Production is expected to begin this summer.

Here's what Wright had to say about the movie:
"I realized I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With ‘Hot Fuzz’ and ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in."

Wright is also working on a sequel to his 2017 hit "Baby Driver", and the script is already done, which probably means it will be his next project once "Last Night in Soho" is completed.

Taylor-Joy can also be seen in Fox's "X-Men" spinoff "The New Mutants", as well as heard in the Netflix series "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance", which is a prequel to the fantasy classic.
