"A Discovery of Witches" is a British series based on the "All Souls" trilogy written by Deborah Harkness. The show stars Teresa Palmer as Diana Bishop, a witch and historian who embarks on a journey to understand the secrets of an ancient manuscript with the help of mysterious geneticist and vampire, Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode). The cast also includes Edward Bluemel, Louise Brealey, Malin Buska, Aiysha Hart, Owen Teale, Alex Kingston and Lindsay Duncan.

"A Discovery of Witches" premiered in the U.K. on September 14, 2018 on Sky One, and in the U.S. on January 17, 2019 via Sundance Now and Shudder. The first season consists of eight episode. Sky One has renewed the series for a second and third season.
