"Run the Race" is a faith-based drama directed by Chris Dowling ("Priceless") from a script by Dowling, Jake McEntire ("Red Wing") and Jason Baumgardner ("Samson").
The story follows two desperate brothers, played by Tanner Stine and Evan Hofer, who use football and track as ways to cope with their mother's death and their father's abandonment. When one of the brothers suffers an injury that puts his dreams on the sidelines, the other one must race to salvage their future. The cast also includes Kristoffer Polaha, Kelsey Reinhardt, Mario Van Peebles, Mykelti Williamson and Frances Fisher.
"Run the Race" opened in theaters on February 22, 2019 and received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics. It finished in 10th place at the box-office with $2.3 million in its opening weekend.
