Billie Eilish's 3D Concert Movie HIT ME HARD AND SOFT Co-Directed With James Cameron Set For Release By Paramount

Bilie Eilish James Cameron 3d Documentary Concert Film Hit Me Hard And Soft

Two-time Oscar and nine-time Grammy winner Billie Eilish has revealed that her 3D concert documentary feature "Hit Me Hard and Soft" will be released by Paramount Pictures on March 20, 2026. Eilish co-directed the film alongside James Cameron. Paramount will partner up with Darkroom Records, Interscope Films and Lightstorm Entertainment.

Here's what Eilish wrote on Instagram: "This is one of my favorite tours everrrrrr and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with @jamescameronofficial [James Cameron] has truly been a dream come true. Can't wait for you all to see it."

Captured during the 2024–25 world tour, the film documents performances behind Eilish's third studio album "Hit Me Hard and Soft", which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 earlier this year, and includes the top-10 Hot 100 hit "Lunch". The tour, which spanned North America, Europe, South America, Asia and Oceania, sold out multiple arena and stadium dates, including several two-night runs in major cities.

In July, Eilish first announced at a Manchester concert that she was working on the project: "Basically, I can't say much about it but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron and it's going to be in 3D. So, take that as you will and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He's in this audience somewhere, just saying. So don't mind that, and also I'll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row".

In 2024, Cameron's Lightstorm announced a partnership with Meta to bring more 3D content with big-name IP including concerts to Meta Quest headsets.

Eilish previously directed her 2021 Disney+ concert special "Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles"
