Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson ("The Batman") and Daisy Edgar-Jones ("Twisters") are set to lead Netflix's upcoming heist film "Here Comes the Flood". The film will be directed by Academy Award nominee Fernando Meirelles ("The Two Popes","City of God") from a script by Simon Kinberg ("X-Men: Days of Future Past", "Mr. & Mrs. Smith").
The film has been described as an unconventional heist movie about a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief in a deadly game of cons and double crosses. The story focuses on a bank guard plotting with a master thief to steal, the rise and fall of his relationship with a bank teller and a series of twists that unveil the con game at the center of it all.
Producers include Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Films and Meirelles. Samson Mucke serves as executive producer.
Washington can next be seen in Spike Lee's "Highest 2 Lowest", which is loosely based on Akira Kurosawa's "High and Low". Pattinson is next set to appear in A24's "The Drama" opposite Zendaya.
