Jeremy Strong To Star In Peter Morgan Series THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL

"Succession" and "The Apprentice" star Jeremy Strong has signed on to star in the Netflix series "The Boys From Brazil" based on Ira Levin Nazi's conspiracy novel. The show is created by Peter Morgan ("The Crown"), who also executive produces along with Suzanne Mackie of Orchid Pictures. It will be run through Netflix and Netflix UK.

Levin's novel was previously adapted into the 1978 film by Franklin J. Schaffner starring Gregory Peck, Laurence Olivier, James Mason, Lilli Palmer, Uta Hagen and Steve Guttenberg. The film was nominated for three Oscars, including Best Actor in a Leading Role (Olivier).

In the novel, Nazi hunter Yakov Liebermann receives a tip that the notorious Dr. Josef Mengele is alive and living under an assumed name in Brazil. Liebermann travels to the South American country to track down the so called "Angel of Death", only to discover a sinister conspiracy at work. Reportedly, Strong will play Liebermann.

Strong recently finished work on the Bruce Springsteen biopic "Deliver Me From Nowhere" in which he plays the artist's manager Jon Landau.
