Directors Guild Awards 2025 Winners Complete List

The winners of the 77th annual DGA Awards have been announced in a ceremony hosted by Judd Apatow that took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Sean Baker won top honors for his film "Anora", solidifying his position as the front-runner for Best Director at the Academy Awards. RaMell Ross won the Michael Apted First-Time Theatrical Feature Film prize for "Nickel Boys".

In the television categories, FX's "Shōgun" took home the Dramatic Series trophy for director Frederick E.O. Toye for the "Crimson Sky" episode. Lucia Aniello took the Comedy series award for "Hacks" ("Bulletproof" episode), while in the Limited Series race Steven Zaillian won for Netflix's "Ripley.".

Ang Lee ("Brokeback Mountain", "Life of Pie", "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon") received the guild's Lifetime Achievement Award.
