Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Direct AI Thriller Starring Anne Hathaway

Joseph Gordon Levitt Anne Hathaway New Thriller

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will direct an untitled AI thriller for Rian Johnson & Ram Bergman's company T-Street Productions. Anne Hathaway is set to star. Gordon-Levitt wrote the script with Kieran Fitzgerald ("Snowden"). Both share a "story by" credit with Natasha Lyonne ("Poker Face").

The project is the latest in a long line of collaborations for Gordon-Levitt, Johnson, and T-Street. Gordon-Levitt and Johnson first worked together on the latter's 2005 directorial debut "Brick". In 2012 they reunited for the sci-fi actioner "Looper". Gordon-Levitt also guest starred on Johnson's new series "Poker Face". T-Street's Bergman produced Gordon-Levitt's 2013 feature directorial debut "Don Jon", with Johnson also giving feedback on the script and reviewing multiple cuts of the film.

Gordon-Levitt and Hathaway co-starred in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises". Gordon-Levitt will next be seen starring in the Mark Heyman's horror film "Pendulum", which is produced by Darren Aronofsky.

Hathaway is also set to reteam with Amazon for an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel "Verity", as well as an adaptation of Caro Claire Burke's novel "Yesteryear". She will star opposite Ewan McGregor in David Robert Mitchell's "Flowervale Street", and was recently attached to star opposite Adam Driver and Jeremy Strong in James Gray's crime thriller "Paper Tiger". Hathaway also signed on to star in David Lowery's A24 film "Mother Mary", and Christopher Nolan's upcoming movie.

T-Street inked a two-film producing deal with Warner Bros earlier this year and will release the second season of "Poker Face". Johnson recently finished production on "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery", his third "Knives Out" installment.
