Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan are in the final stages of negotiations to star in the Paramount+ series "The Associate" from Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett ("Top Boy").
The show follows two generations of gangsters, the businesses they run, the complex relationships they weave, and the man they call upon to fix their problems.. Hardy will play Harry, the fixer, a man who is as dangerous as he is handsome. Mirren and Brosnan would star as the crime family's matriarch and patriarch, respectively.
Initially developed with the title "The Donovans" with plans to function as a British spin-off of the Showtime series "Ray Donovan", the show has been reworked into a standalone series with no connections to that franchise. The one-hour gangster drama series comes from Showtime, MTV Studios and 101 Studios.
Bennett is writing the entire series and Ritchie will direct. Both also serve as executive producers, alongside David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin and Ivan Atkinson.
