Bennett will star as a character who is key to the past of Cate Blanchett's Lilith. The cast also includes Kevin Hart as Roland, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Florian Munteanu as Krieg and Jack Black as Claptrap.
"Borderlands" is based on the RPG shooter video game franchise that launched in 2009. The film is executive produced by Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford, and Strauss Zelnick, chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive.
Bennett is also set to star as Roxanne opposite Peter Dinklage in Joe Wright's "Cyrano".
