Adrien Brody to Star in Stephen King-Based TV Series JERUSALEM'S LOT

Adrien Brody to Star in Stephen King-Based TV Series JERUSALEM'S LOT
Oscar winner Adrien Brody has signed on to star in Epix's upcoming horror series "Jerusalem's Lot" based on Stephen King's short story of the same name. The story was first published in King's 1978 collection "Night Shift", but since the story is a prequel of sorts to "Salem's Lot", it was later re-released as part of an illustrated edition of King's famous vampire story.

The story is set in the 1850s, and Brody will star as Captain Charles Boone, who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher's Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family's sordid history, and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations.

Epix has issued a series order and production is expected to begin in May 2020 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The 10-episode series will probably be released Fall 2020. Donald De Line ("Ready Player One") is on board to executive produce alongside showrunners Jason Filardi and Peter Filardi.

Brody can next be seen in Wes Anderson's new film "The French Dispatch".
