Maya Hawke, Charlie Plummer and Andrea Riseborough have joined the cast of the romantic drama "Please Baby Please". The film will be directed by Amanda Kramer ("Ladyworld") from a script she co-wrote alongside Noel David Taylor.

The story will follow newlyweds Suse and Arthur who, after witnessing a murder in the gritty streets of a surreal 1950s Manhattan, become the dangerous obsession of a greaser gang that awakens a sleeping quandary into the couple's own sexual identity.

The film is produced by Rob Paris under his Paris Film Inc. banner alongside Gül Karakiz Bildik. Filming is expected to begin in February.

Hawke starred in Kramer's 2018 film "Ladyworld" and recently appeared in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" and the third season of Netflix's "Stranger Things". She also finished work on Gia Coppola's "Mainstream" in which she stars opposite Andrew Garfield.

Riseborough can next be seen in "The Grudge" reboot and Amazon's true-crime series "ZeroZeroZero" opposite Dane DeHaan and Gabriel Byrne. She is also set to star in the thriller "Possessor", the drama "Luxor", and "Louis Wain" opposite Benedict Cumberbatch and Claire Foy.

Plummer currently stars on Hulu's series "Looking for Alaska" and he also starred in "Lean on Pete", for which he won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the Venice Film Festival.
