Tom Hardy will reprise the role of the titular anti-hero, who in the sequel will go up against Carnage (Woody Harrelson). The villain will probably join forces with Shriek, who in the comics is a romantic interest for Carnage. Harrelson had a short cameo in the first film. Michelle Williams is also back as Anne Weying.
The film will be produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker. The release date has been set for October 2, 2020.
Harris can next be seen in the cop thriller "Black and Blue", and has recently finished work on the next James Bond film "No Time to Die". She is also set to star in the drama series "The Third Day" opposite Jude Law.
