Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese to Team up Again for KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON

Leonardo Dicaprio Martin Scorsese Picture

Leonardo DiCaprio is on board to star in Martin Scorsese's upcoming true story crime drama "Killers Of The Flower Moon". The film is based on author David Grann's New York Times best-selling book. The rights were acquired by Imperative Entertainment in 2016, and both DiCaprio and Scorsese expressed interest in the project ever since. Eric Roth ("Munich") is penning the script. This will be DiCaprio and Scorsese's sixth collaboration.

The story is set in 1920s Oklahoma, and it revolves around the Osage Nation, who became extremely rich after oil was discovered under their land. The only problem was that they started to get murdered, one by one. As the death toll rose, the newly created FBI proceeded to investigate, unraveling a chilling conspiracy and one of the most monstrous crimes in American history.

Scorsese said the following about adapting the book: "When I read David Grann’s book, I immediately started seeing it — the people, the settings, the action — and I knew that I had to make it into a movie. I’m so excited to be working with Eric Roth and reuniting with Leo DiCaprio to bring this truly unsettling American story to the screen."

DiCaprio is currently working on Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". Scorsese is in post-production on his Netflix mob drama "The Irishman".
