Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike ("Gone Girl") has signed on to star in a small-screen adaptation of the thriller novel "The Banker's Wife" written by Cristina Alger. Set in the world of global finance and inspired by the Panama Papers scandal, the story follows two women racing for answers when a mysterious plane crash sets them off on parallel pursuits of truth, becoming embedded in the crosshairs of danger within a larger conspiracy of money laundering, powerful politicians and a web of terrorists and criminals.
Federation Entertainment's Pascal Breton ("Marseille") and Marsh Productions' Sherry Marsh ("Pose") will executive produce the series. "Homeland" writer Meredith Stiehm and director Lesli Linka Glatter are also on board to write, direct, and executive produce.
Pike can also be seen in the biopic "A Private War", where she plays legendary Sunday Times war reporter, Marie Colvin.
