Two new images have been released for "Jurassic World". Colin Trevvorow's sequel will take place 22 years after the events from "Jurassic Park" and will find a whole new kind of chaos within a fully-functional dinosaur theme park. The new images show the film's protagonist played by Chris Pratt alongside some Velociraptors that appear to be a lot friendlier than I remember them. The film also stars Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy and Judy Greer.

"Jurassic World" opens in theaters on June 12, 2015.

Everly Movie Trailer Salma Hayek

The first trailer for the action thriller "Everly" has been released. Directed by Joe Lynch, the film stars Salma Hayek as a Yakuza prostitute and informer for the police who is forced to defend herself against assassins sent by a dangerous mob boss, who also happens to be her ex. This would be Hayek's attempt at rebranding herself Liam Neeson-style, and already the Internet is roaring about this being a female version of Die Hard. It remains to be seen just how good it really is. The film also stars Jennifer Blanc, Togo Igawa, Akie Kotabe and Hiroyuki Watanabe. So far there is no official release date for the film.

Kim Dickens Picture
Fans of AMC's "The Walking Dead" will be happy to learn that the network is developing a spinoff series based on the original show, but set in a different location and possibly in a different moment of the zombie apocalypse. For now there isn't much information available regarding the plot, apart from rumors suggesting that the series will be set in Los Angeles and will be focusing on the early days of the zombie outbreak. Now it has been reported that Kim Dickens ("Gone Girl") will lead the spinoff.

The story will follow a divorced teacher (Cliff Curtis) and a guidance counselor (Dickens) who work together and are in a relationship. The cast will also include Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey as the guidance counselor's children from another marriage. While Curtis' character has been described as a "good man who tries to do right by everyone in his life", Dickens' character "looks like the girl next door but has a darkness to her, a troubled past that will come back to haunt her."

Adam Davison will direct the pilot, which is set to begin production in early 2015.

The Interview Movie VOD Release TV Spots

After all the controversy surrounding Sony's "The Interview" and North Korea's absurd threats, the studio withdrew the film from theaters but ultimately decided to release it via VOD (Watch on iTunes here). To mark the film's release we have three new TV spots. While the controversy itself and the reactions of everyone involved could easily be the subject of an equally absurd comedy, the film did manage to gross $18 million since its Christmas Day release, with $15 million coming from VOD sales. The film stars James Franco, Seth Rogen, Lizzy Caplan, Diana Bang and Charles Rahi Chun.

box-office-hobbit-battle-five-armies-unbroken-into-the-woods

The Christmas weekend proved to be very merry indeed for three movies. The leader of the pack is still "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" for a second consecutive weekend with $41 million domestically in the last three days and a grand worldwide total of $573 million. In second place we have Angelina Jolie's World War II true story drama "Unbroken" which grossed $47 million in 4 days and close behind at #3 is the fantasy musical "Into the Woods" with $46 million in the same timeframe, a very good start for both films in the upcoming awards season.

The week's other wide release, the remake "The Gambler" starring Mark Wahlberg made a less impressive debut. The film opened in seventh place with $9.3 million over the weekend and $14 million in 4 days. Still, it's not a total disaster for the $25 million movie, especially in the face of such tough competition.

"The Imitation Game" managed to climb into the top 10 after expanding in more theaters and grossed $7.9 million in the last three days. The film will expand further by January 9th.

Tim Burton's "Big Eyes" did not manage to take advantage of the holidays. The biopic scored $3 million from 1,307 theaters and totalled $4.4 million since its release on Christmas day.

New Wide Releases: "Unbroken", "Into the Woods", "The Gambler", "Big Eyes".

The Trip to Italy DVD and Blu-Ray

Product Description: Michael Winterbottom's largely improvised 2010 film, The Trip, took comedians Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon—or semifictionalized versions thereof—on a restaurant tour around northern England. In this witty and incisive follow-up, Winterbottom reunites the pair for a new culinary road trip, retracing the steps of the Romantic poets' grand tour of Italy and indulging in some sparkling banter and impersonation-offs. Rewhetting our palates from the earlier film, the characters enjoy mouthwatering meals in gorgeous settings from Liguria to Capri while riffing on subjects as varied as Batman's vocal register, the artistic merits of "Jagged Little Pill," and, of course, the virtue of sequels. Equally hilarious and insightful, THE TRIP TO ITALY effortlessly melds the crackling chemistry between Coogan and Brydon to create a brilliantly comic rumination on the nuances of friendship and the juggling of family and career.

The Good Lie new on DVD and Blu-Ray

Product Description: They were known simply as "The Lost Boys". Orphaned by the brutal civil war in Sudan, which began in 1983, these young victims traveled as many as a thousand miles on foot in search of safety. Fifteen years later, a humanitarian effort would bring 3,600 lost boys, as well as girls, to America. Mamere and Theo are sons of the Chief in their village in Southern Sudan. When an attack by the Northern militia destroys their home and kills their parents, eldest son Theo is forced to assume the role of Chief and lead a group of young survivors, including his sister Abital, away from harm. But the hostile, treacherous terrain has other dangers in store for them. As the tattered group makes the difficult trek to Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, they meet other fleeing children, forging a bond with Jeremiah, who, at 13, is already a man of faith, and Paul, whose skills become essential to their survival. Thirteen years later, the now young adults are given the opportunity to leave the camp and resettle in America. Upon arriving in Kansas, they are met by Carrie Davis (Reese Witherspoon), an employment agency counselor who has been enlisted to help find them jobs—no easy task, when things like light switches and telephones are brand new to them. Although Carrie has successfully kept herself from any emotional entanglements, these refugees, who desperately require help navigating the 21st century and rebuilding their shattered lives, need just that. So Carrie embarks on her own unchartered territory, enlisting the help of her boss, Jack (Corey Stoll).

Tootsie (1982) Blu-ray Criterion Collection

Product Description: In 'Tootsie,' the character Michael Dorsey lands the role of a lifetime—as does the actor playing him, Dustin Hoffman. This multilayered comedy from director Sydney Pollack follows the increasingly elaborate deception of a down-on-his-luck New York actor who disguises himself as a woman to get a coveted soap opera gig; while his female persona skyrockets to fame, he finds himself learning to be a better man. Hoffman's ball-busting yet disarmingly sweet Dorothy Michaels is a sensational comic creation, given support by a stellar cast including Dabney Coleman, Charles Durning, Teri Garr, George Gaynes, Bill Murray, and, in her first Oscar-winning role, Jessica Lange. Imbued with poignant drama, Tootsie is a funny and cutting film from an American moment defined by shifting social and sexual identities.

weekend-box-office-hobbit-battle-five-armies-night-at-the-museum-secret-of-the-tomb-annie

It's no surprise that Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" dominates the weekend box-office. Even though the competition was a lot tougher than it was for previous installments, the epic final chapter in the Middle-Earth prequel trilogy scored $56 million over the weekend and $90.6 million in the five days since its release. The film also grossed $265 million overseas which is pretty awesome. However, as far as weekends go, "The Battle of the Five Armies" made less money than "An Unexpected Journey" which grossed $84 million in its first weekend, and "The Desolation of Smaug" which opened with $73 million, both within a 3-day timeframe. The final chapter in the trilogy will probably gross less than the previous films, but not by very much. It's still going to make a ton of money.

The sequel "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" took second place with a modest $17 million, a slow opening for the $127 million production and the weakest of the series. "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" registered a $54 million debut in 2009 while the first film in the franchise scored a $30 million opening weekend in 2006.

After a pretty rotten week which included North-Korean cyber-attacks, Sony managed a mild success with its "Annie" remake which opened third with $16 million. While these may not be huge numbers, the family film could pick up more business during the holiday week.

Meanwhile, last week's "Exodus: Gods and Kings" took a steep dive, dropping 66% from first place to fourth and only managed $8 million this weekend. Ridley Scott's epic is shaping up to be one of 2014's flops with just $100 million worldwide in 10 days versus a $140 million budget that would require a Biblical miracle to recouperate.

Silverman will also act as executive producer on the show which is written by Lucy Prebble ("Secret Diary of a Call Girl"). The actress' return to HBO comes a year after the premium cable network passed on the pilot for "People in New Jersey" from Lorne Michaels ("Saturday Night Live") and Bruce Eric Kaplan ("Girls"). This would also mark Silverman's first TV role since Comedy Central's "The Sarah Silverman Program" which earned her an Emmy nomination for Best Comedy Actress. The actress-comedian can also be seen next year in three big screen projects: the comedy "Still Punching the Clown", the romantic dramedy "Ashby" and the drama "I Smile Back".

Yet another big name has joined the already impressive cast of the DC Comics adaptation "Suicide Squad". Academy Award nominee Viola Davis ("The Help") is set to star as Amanda Waller in the film which will be directed by David Ayer ("Fury").
