Emmy-winner
Sarah Silverman is set to star in a new pilot for HBO. The untitled series will focus on a pathologically honest woman (Silverman) who is having a modern midlife crisis. Silverman will also act as executive producer on the show which is written by
Lucy Prebble (
"Secret Diary of a Call Girl"). The actress' return to HBO comes a year after the premium cable network passed on the pilot for
"People in New Jersey" from
Lorne Michaels (
"Saturday Night Live") and
Bruce Eric Kaplan (
"Girls"). This would also mark Silverman's first TV role since Comedy Central's
"The Sarah Silverman Program" which earned her an Emmy nomination for Best Comedy Actress. The actress-comedian can also be seen next year in three big screen projects: the comedy
"Still Punching the Clown", the romantic dramedy
"Ashby" and the drama
"I Smile Back".
