"Suicide Squad" took a steep dive but still managed to dominate the box-office against solid competition from the R-rated animated feature "Sausage Party", Disney's "Pete's Dragon" remake and the Meryl Streep starrer "Florence Foster Jenkins".
Find out more about the weekend box office after the jump.
"Suicide Squad" is still the top movie of the weekend despite a 67% drop, which is almost just as bad as that of "Batman V Superman" in its second weekend. The film grossed $43.7 million and has now reached $222.8 million domestically in 12 days. Overseas, it has grossed $242.5 million.
