"Speed" and "The Lake House" stars Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are set to reteam for a new romantic thriller in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the studio has described the story as being "propulsive". The script is penned by "Jackie" and "Zero Day" scribe Noah Oppenheim.
The untitled project's producers are Bullock via Fortis Films, Reeves, Mark Gordon and Bibby Dunn via The Mark Gordon Company, and Oppenheim and Sarah Bremner via Prologue Entertainment. Gordon and Oppenheim brought the idea for the film to Reeves and Bullock, who went on to develop the film with them.
Mark Gordon Pictures is currently producing Greta Gerwig's "Narnia" movie for Netflix. The company's resume includes films like "Saving Private Ryan", "The Day After Tomorrow", "Molly's Game" and "The Patriot", as well as TV shows like "Grey's Anatomy", "Criminal Minds" and "The Rookie".
Prologue Entertainment was founded by Lloyd Braun, Bremner and Oppenheim, and is partnered with Jeff Zucker and RedBird Capital to produce premium scripted series and films.
