Isabel May Joins SCREAM 7 as Neve Campbell's Daughter

Isabel May To Star In Scream 7

"Yellowstone" spinoff prequels "1883" and "1923" star Isabel May has joined the cast of the upcoming slasher horror sequel "Scream 7". May is set to star as the daughter of Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott. Campbell is returning to the horror franchise after sitting out the sixth installment due to a salary dispute.

Another new cast member is Mckenna Grace ("Ghostbusters: After Life" and "Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire"), who will star in an undisclosed role. Patrick Dempsey is reportedly in talks to reprise the role of Mark Kincaid, Sidney's husband, while Courteney Cox is also in negotiations to return as Gale Weathers.

"Scream" creator and writer Kevin Williamson will direct "Scream 7" while Guy Busick, who wrote the fifth and sixth installments, is penning the script. The seventh film will hit theaters on February 27, 2026 after facing multiple setbacks, including production delays, creative overhauls and cast shakeups.

In 2023, Melissa Barrera, who starred in the previous two films, was fired from the sequel over comments she made on social media about the Israel-Hamas war. Co-star Jenna Ortega had to drop out of the seventh film due to her shooting schedule for Season 2 of Netflix's "Wednesday", and director Christopher Landon ("Happy Death Day") dropped out of the project in December of 2023, calling it "a dream job that turned into a nightmare." Production was also held up due to last year’s SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.

Paramount Pictures will distribute the film, which Spyglass Media is producing. Project X Entertainment's James Vanderbilt, William Sherak and Paul Neinstein are producing with Radio Silence serving as executive producers.
