There are no plot details available at the moment, other then it is based on an original idea by Russell. This will be Russell's first directorial project since 2015's "Joy". The film will be produced and distributed by New Regency through their deal with 20th Century Studios (formerly Fox). Matthew Budman ("Joy", "American Hustle") will produce.
Robbie has recently finished production on "The Suicide Squad", where she reprises the role of Harley Quinn, a role that she can also be seen playing in "Birds of Prey", which is currently running in theatres.
