"Native Son" is a drama directed by Rashid Johnson from a script by Suzan-Lori Parks ("Their Eyes Were Watching God"), which was adapted from Richard Wright's novel of the same name.

The film follows a young African-American (Ashton Sanders, "Moonlight") living in Chicago who enters into a seductive new world of money and power after he is hired as a chauffeur for an affluent businessman. Margaret Qualley, Nick Robinson, Bill Camp, Sanaa Lathan, David Alan Grier and Elizabeth Marvel co-star.

"Native Son" was released by HBO on April 6, 2019.
