"The Silence" is a horror film directed by John R. Leonetti ("Annabelle") from a script by Carey Van Dyke & Shane Van Dyke ("Chernobyl Diaries") based on the novel of the same name by Tim Lebbon.

The story follows a deaf 16-year old girl (Kiernan Shipka) and her family, who must escape and survive after a species of terrifying creatures, who hunt by sound, is unearthed and violently attack the cities. The film also stars Stanley Tucci, Miranda Otto, John Corbett, Kate Trotter and Billy MacLellan.

"The Silence" was released on April 10, 2019 via Netflix.
