"In the Dark" is a new drama series created by Corinne Kingsbury and executive-produced by Ben Stiller. The show stars Perry Mattfeld as Murphy, a hard-living, hard-drinking, disaffected young blind woman who is determined to solve her friend's (Thamela Mpumlwana) murder after she is dismissed as an unreliable witness by the police. The cast also includes Rich Sommer, Brooke Markham, Derek Webster and Kathleen York.

"In the Dark" premiered on April 4, 2019 on The CW.

"The series premiere. Murphy is a hard-living, hard-drinking, disaffected twenty-something with a penchant for cigarettes and casual sex. She's also blind. Murphy lives with her best friend, Jess, and—more reluctantly—her guide dog, Pretzel, whose presence she resents. Her parents, Hank and Joy, own a guide dog school, a venture they opened hoping it would give Murphy a job with some purpose. Murphy's closest friend is a teen named Tyson, whose kindness and intelligence are going to waste."
