High numbers for the top three films at the box-office this weekend. "G.I. Joe: Retaliation", starring Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis pulled in a solid $41 million and took the top spot over the three-day interval. The opening is smaller compared to 2009's "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" which opened with $54 million, but solid foreign ticket sales will help the second Joe recover in the next weeks. "The Croods" took a step down to #2 with $26 million and the third spot was occupied by Tyler Perry's "Temptation" which opened with a healthy $22 million, quite decent for a film with a weak publicity campaign. One of the weekend's disappointments was the Stephenie Meyer adaptation "The Host" which only managed a sixth place opening with a 3-day total of $11 million versus a $40 million budget. Not really a hit.
