Yaiba Samurai Legend Anime Series Trailers Images And Poster

"YAIBA: Samurai Legend" is a new anime series based on the manga by Gosho Aoyama that ran from 1988 to 1993. Produced by WIT Studio, the series is directed by Takahiro Hasui ("Mob Psycho III"). The score is composed by Toko Machida ("Kemono Michi: Rise Up"). The score is composed by Yutaka Yamada ("Vinland Saga") and Yoshiaki Dewa ("Hell's Paradise").

Minami Takayama reprises her role as the voice of Yaiba Kurogane from the original series. The voice cast also includes Manaka Iwami, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Katsuyuki Konishi, Junichi Suwabe and Isshin Chiba.

"YAIBA: Samurai Legend" was released on April 5, 2025 on Netflix in North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand, and on Hulu in the United States.

"The protagonist, Yaiba (Kurogane Yaiba), is a wild samurai boy who trains in the jungle with his father, Kenjuro! By chance, Yaiba returns to Japan, where he meets his rival Takeshi Onimaru, who has the same samurai spirit as Yaiba, in a new training ground. Yaiba is living a life of serious competition, but when Onimaru obtains the “Legendary Demon Sword”, he is on a journey full of spectacle and great adventure...!"
