2 New Trailers for THE BIG WEDDING

Big Wedding Movie Banner

Two new trailers have been released for the ensemble comedy "The Big Wedding" written and directed by Justin Zackham. One is a full trailer and the other is a 60-second promo for the movie. The comedy features a solid ensemble cast: Robert De Niro, Katherine Heigl, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace, Susan Sarandon and Robin Williams. I'm still not convinced that this is going to be the hilarious comedy that the all-star cast suggests. The trailers are only mildly funny and Robin Williams is pretty much the couple-counseling priest that we've seen him play in "License to Wed" (a very unfunny movie). He's a great comedian, but his bits in the trailer didn't have me laughing as they should have. Anyway, "The Big Wedding" opens on October 26, 2013.

Watch the trailer after the jump.

Official Synopsis

the big wedding movie poster
"With an all-star cast led by Robert De Niro, Katherine Heigl, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace, with Susan Sarandon and Robin Williams, THE BIG WEDDING is an uproarious romantic comedy about a charmingly modern family trying to survive a weekend wedding celebration that has the potential to become a full blown family fiasco. To the amusement of their adult children and friends, long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (De Niro and Keaton) are once again forced to play the happy couple for the sake of their adopted son’s wedding after his ultra conservative biological mother unexpectedly decides to fly halfway across the world to attend. With all of the wedding guests looking on, the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past, present and future – and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process. Screenplay by Justin Zackham. Directed by Justin Zackham."
