Channing Tatum to Star in Drama SOUNDTRACK OF SILENCE

"Magic Mike" and "21 Jump Street" actor Channing Tatum is set to star in and produce the drama "Soundtrack of Silence" for Paramount. Tatum will reteam with Temple Hill, the producers of the 2010 Nicholas Sparks adaptation "Dear John" directed by Lasse Halstrom, in which he starred alongside Amanda Seyfried.

The film is based on the true story from KQED about Matt Hay, a sophomore in college who learns he is going deaf and memorizes his favorite songs to help capture the most important memories of his life — including falling in love.

The screenplay is penned by Jamie Linden ("We Are Marshall", "Dear John"). A director is yet to be attached to the project. Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan, Marty Bowen, Isaac Klausner and John Fischer are also attached as producers.
