The fourth season of the teen drama series "Riverdale" premiered on October 9, 2019 on The CW. The series is based on characters from the Archie Comics and was created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. The cast features KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick and Skeet Ulrich. The fourth season begins with a tribute to Luke Perry and Fred Andrews, the character he played on the show.
