The third season of the superhero series "Black Lightning" has premiered on October 7, 2019 on The CW. Created by Salim Akil, the series follows a crusading school principal and retired superhero (Cress Williams) who is drawn back into action when his daughter (China Anne McClain) seeks to serve justice to evil-doers. The cast also features Nafessa Williams, Christine Adams, Marvin Jones III, Damon Gupton and James Remar.
