Warner Bros' "Aquaman" is a new installment in the DC Extended Universe directed by James Wan ("Saw", "Furious 7") from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick ("The Conjuring 2") and Will Beall ("Gangster Squad").

The film follows the titular character played by Jason Momoa, who was first introduced in Zack Snyder's "Justice League". Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and his origin story will take him on a journey that will force him to step forward to lead his people and be a hero to the world. Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Djimon Hounsou and Nicole Kidman co-star.

"Aquaman" opened in theaters on December 21, 2018 in Real D 3D, Dolby Cinema, IMAX and IMAX 3D. The film received mostly mixed-to-positive reviews from critics.
