ARMY OF ONE Trailer, Images and Poster

Directed by Larry Charles ("Borat", "The Dictator"), the comedy "Army of One" stars Nicolas Cage as an ex-con and unemployed handyman who is contacted by God (Russell Brand) and given the divine mission to capture Osama Bin Laden (Amer Chadha-Patel). The film also stars Denis O'Hare, Rainn Wilson, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Fiona Vroom, Matthew Modine and Will Sasso.

"Army of One" begins a limited run in theaters on November 3rd.

PEOPLE OF EARTH TV Series Trailers, Clips and Poster

"People of Earth" is a new comedy series produced by Conan O'Brien and "The Office" co-creator Greg Daniels that focuses on a support group for alien abductees. Journalist Ozzie Graham (Wyatt Cenac) arrives in the midst of this oddball group for an investigation, but although he is skeptical at first, the more he sees, the more confused he becomes. The cast also includes Ana Gasteyer, Oscar Nunez, Luka Jones, Alice Wetterlund and Brian Huskey.

"People of Earth" premieres on TBS tonight.

This week's new soundtrack releases feature few major highlights. First there's Bear McCreary's score for "Outlander: Season 2", then there's Jeremy Zuckerman's score for Season 1 and 2 of "Scream: The TV Series", and the last major release worth mentioning is "Stranger Things: Volume Two" by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.

Some interesting lesser known new soundtracks may be worth listening to, like Pierre Takal's score for the documentary "Rats", Atli Orvarsson's music for the animated feature "Bilal: A New Breed of Hero", and the soundtrack for "Seni Seven Olsun" by Muzikopat.

THE FALL Season 3 Trailers, Clip and Images

The third, and possibly final, season of "The Fall" arrived on Netflix today, after finishing its run on BBC Two in the U.K. To celebrate the occasion, here are two official trailers, a clip, and a batch of fourteen images from the new season. The show stars Gillian Anderson, Jamie Dornan, Bronagh Waugh, John Lynch, Bronagh Taggart and Aisling Franciosi.

I AM THE PRETTY THING THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE Trailer and Images

Written and directed by Oz Perkins, "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House" is a new Netflix original horror movie. Ruth Wilson stars as a young nurse who is hired to take care of an elderly, reclusive horror novelist. But, as it's usually the case in such films, dark, haunting secrets begin to surface. The film also stars Lucy Boynton, Bob Balaban, Paula Prentiss and Brad Milne, and it is now available on Netflix everywhere.

This week in theaters we have only one new wide release, and that's Ron Howard's "Inferno", the latest adaptation of a Dan Brown novel. In limited release we have a bunch of interesting documentaries: "Before the Flood" that explores climate change, "Gimme Danger", Jim Jarmusch's look at the history of The Stooges, and "Oasis: Supersonic", an intriguing and insightful look at the titular 1990s rock band.

INFERNO Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

The new Dan Brown adaptation, "Inferno", is now in theaters, and Sony has released a huge collection of clips, featurettes, images and posters for the film. Tom Hanks returns as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, who is now at the center of a conspiracy that threatens the entire world's population. The film is directed by franchise veteran Ron Howard ("The Da Vinci Code", "Angels & Demons") and also stars Felicity Jones, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ana Ularu and Ben Foster.

PURE GENIUS Season 1 Trailer, Images and Poster

Tonight, CBS premieres a new medical drama series titled "Pure Genius". Augustus Prew ("The Borgias") stars as a young Silicon Valley tech billionaire who enlists the help of a controversial surgeon (Dermot Mulroney) to help him open a cutting edge hospital.

The cast also includes Kelly Albanese, Keon Alexander, Eva Ariel Binder, Carson Dean and Geoffrey Blake.

"The Great Indoors" is a new sitcom starring Joel McHale ("Community") as an adventure reporter who is given the opportunity to lead the new digital department of the outdoors magazine he works for. The series also stars Stephen Fry, Chris Williams, Shaun Brown, Deborah Baker Jr., Christine Ko, Christopher Mintz-Plass and Susannah Fielding.

"The Great Indoors" premieres on October 27th.

"Before the Flood" is a new documentary directed by "The Cove" producer Fisher Stevens and starring Leonardo DiCaprio that offers an alarming investigation into how climate change affects our environment and what society can do to prevent the demise of endangered species, ecosystems and native communities across the planet.

Directed by Mat Whitecross ("The Road to Guantanamo"), "Oasis: Supersonic" is a new documentary from the Oscar winning producers of "Amy" that offers an insightful look at the rise of the famous 90s rock band Oasis, featuring candid interviews and firsthand accounts of the backstage sibling rivalry that threatened to destroy the band.

"Oasis: Supersonic" is now in theaters.

GIMME DANGER Documentary Trailer, Clip, Images and Posters

"Gimme Danger" is a documentary directed by Jim Jarmusch ("Only Lovers Left Alive") that chronicles the story of The Stooges, one of the greatest rock-n-roll bands of all time, while also delving into the political, cultural and historical context of their music, and their long-lasting legacy.

"Gimme Danger" opens in theaters on October 27th.

DVD and Blu-ray Releases: October 25, 2016

This week on DVD and Blu-ray we have some interesting picks. Among the top choices of films released this year are the social-media-age thriller "Nerve" starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco, the indie dramedy "Captain Fantastic" starring Viggo Mortensen, the James Wan-produced horror "Lights Out" starring Teresa Palmer and Maria Bello, and Eddie Murphy's interesting attempt at drama, "Mr. Church".

Collectors might want to waste no more time and grab the "Mad Max: High Octane Collection" which features all four films, as well as the "Black & Chrome" Edition of "Mad Max: Fury Road". And I would advise comedy fans to check out "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - Big Hairy American Winning Edition", a new Blu-ray edition featuring the theatrical and unrated cuts of the film, a 4K restoration and a wealth of special features.

The classic films released on Blu-ray this week include "Fathom", "Suddenly", "Boy on a Dolphin", "The Exorcist III: Collector's Edition", "The Quiet Man", "The Night of the Grizzly" and more.

Jennifer Lawrence to star as Zelda Fitzgerald

Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence is teaming up with director Ron Howard ("In the Heart of the Sea") for a biopic focused on the life of Jazz Age icon Zelda Fitzgerald. The screenplay is adapted by Emma Frost ("The White Queen") based on Nancy Milford's book "Zelda" and the film will be produced by Allison Shearmur ("The Hunger Games") and Brian Oliver ("Hacksaw Ridge").

Zelda Fitzgerald was a troubled socialite, novelist, painter and the wife of author F. Scott Fitzgerald. Their marriage was marred by infidelity, obsession, wild drinking, and recriminations. Scott based a lot of his work on his wife's personality and the author himself admitted that the character Daisy Buchanan in "The Great Gatsby" was inspired by her. In 1930 she was admitted to a sanatorium in France where she was diagnosed as a schizophrenic. While being treated at the Phipps Clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Zelda wrote a novel, "Save Me the Waltz" that was a semi-autobiographical account of the Fitzgeralds' marriage. She died in the Highland Hospital fire of 1948.

Here is the synopsis for Milford's book "Zelda":

"Zelda Sayre started out as a Southern beauty, became an international wonder, and died by fire in a madhouse. With her husband, F. Scott Fitzgerald, she moved in a golden aura of excitement, romance, and promise. The epitome of the Jazz Age, they rode the crest of the era to its collapse and their own.

As a result of years of exhaustive research, Nancy Milford brings alive the tormented, elusive personality of Zelda and clarifies as never before her relationship with Scott Fitzgerald. Zelda traces the inner disintegration of a gifted, despairing woman, torn by the clash between her husband’s career and her own talent."

MAN WITH A PLAN Sitcom Trailer, Images and Poster

Matt LeBlanc returns to the small screen with the new CBS sitcom "Man With a Plan" in which he plays a contractor who discovers that parenting is harder than he thought after his wife (Liza Snyder) goes back to work for the first time after 13 years.

Created by Jackie Filgo and Jeff Filgo ("That '70s Show"), the series also stars Kali Rocha, Kevin Nealon, Grace Kaufman and Hala Finley.

"Man With a Plan" premieres on October 24th.

THE WINDMILL Trailers, Clips, Images and Poster

"The Windmill", also known as "The Windmill Massacre" is a horror film directed by Nick Jongerius that tells the story of a group of unsuspecting tourists who awaken a mysterious evil while on a trip through the Dutch countryside. The cast features Charlotte Beaumont, Noah Taylor, Patrick Baladi, Ben Batt, Fiona Hampton, Tanroh Ishida and Adam Thomas Wright.

"The Windmill" will receive a limited released in theaters in the U.S. on October 27th.

The film is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.

A Madea Halloween" actually topped the box-office ahead of some pretty solid competition from "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" and "Ouija: Origin of Evil". I would also mention the comedy "Keeping Up With the Joneses" but that one couldn't even make it into the Top 5.

BLACK MIRROR Season 3 Trailer, Featurettes and Images

The anthology series "Black Mirror" returns with a new 6-episode season on Netflix. Initially, the third season was supposed to contain twelve episodes, but Netflix decided to split it in half, with the other six episodes included in a fourth season that will premiere next year.

Season 3 once again explores the dark side of life and technology, specifically, identity in the social media age. The cast features Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve, Demetri Goritsas, James Norton, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis, Michael Kelly, Faye Marsay and Kelly Macdonald.

This week in theaters, Tom Cruise goes back to another action franchise with "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back". That title is very good advice that nobody seems to have listened to. Next, there's the horror sequel "Ouija: Origin of Evil" that managed to shock everyone. In a good way, too. Those looking for a laugh or two can check out the all-star comedy "Keeping Up With the Joneses" or Tyler Perry's "Boo! A Madea Halloween". I ain't kidding. You'll only laugh once or twice on either one of these movies.

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (2016) - Trailers and 33 Pictures

Today we have all the trailers and a huge batch of thirty-three images from the 2016 TV reimagining of the 1975 cult classic musical "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". The new and longer title is "The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again", and it's directed, choreographed and executive-produced by "High School Musical" franchise helmer and "Dirty Dancing" choreographer Kenny Ortega.

The cast features and Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Laverne Cox, Reeve Carney, Tim Curry, Ben Vereen, Staz Nair, Annaleigh Ashford, Adam Lambert, Ivy Levan and Christina Milian.

CHANCE Hugh Laurie Series Trailers and Poster

Hulu's new series "Chance" is a thriller created by Kem Nunn and Alexandra Cunningham based on the book by Nunn of the same name. The show stars Hugh Laurie as a forensic neuro-psychiatrist who reluctantly enters a dangerous and violent world of mistaken identity, police corruption and mental illness.

Hulu ordered two seasons containing twenty episodes. The cast also includes Lisa Gay Hamilton, Clarke Peters, Gretchen Mol, Ethan Suplee, Diane Farr and Paul Adelstein.

The first episode of "Chance" premieres on October 19th.

KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES Clips, Images and Posters

"Keeping up with the Joneses" is a new comedy from "Superbad" director Greg Mottola that tells the story of a suburban couple (played by Isla Fisher and Zach Galifianakis) who become embroiled in an international espionage plot when they discover that their seemingly perfect new neighbors (played by Gal Gadot and Jon Hamm) are government spies.

The film also stars Patton Oswalt, Maribeth Monroe, Kevin Dunn, Matt Walsh and Ming Zhao.

JANE THE VIRGIN Season 3 Promos and Images

The third season of the comedy series "Jane the Virgin" premiered last night. Gina Rodriguez reprises the role that earned her a Golden Globe award and her titular protagonist is confronted with some difficult choices. Created by Jennie Snyder Urman, the series also stars Andrea Navedo, Yael Grobglas, Justin Baldoni, Ivonne Coll and Brett Dier.

The second episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will premiere on October 24th.

OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL Clips, Images and Posters

Produced by Michael Bay and Jason Blum, "Ouija: Origin of Evil" is a sequel to the 2014 horror film "Ouija" and its story takes us back in time to 1967 Los Angeles, where a family discovers a Ouija board and unwittingly invites evil into their home.

The film was co-written, edited and directed by Mike Flanagan ("Oculus"), and it stars Elizabeth Reaser, Lulu Wilson, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Lin Shaye and Doug Jones.

BOO! A MADEA HALLOWEEN Trailer, Clips, Featurette, Images and Posters

Tyler Perry reprises the role that made him famous (and infamous) in "Boo! A Madea Halloween". This time, Mabel "Madea" Simmons will have to battle killers, paranormal poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls and zombies as she tries to keep a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens on Halloween.

The cast also includes Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Liza Koshy, Diamond White, Jimmy Tatro, Tyga, Andre Hall, Bella Thorne and Yousef Erakat.

"Berlin Station" is a new Epix series that stars Richard Armitage ("The Hobbit") as a CIA analyst-turned-field-officer who receives an assignment in Berlin to uncover the identity of a whistleblower. And like all spy thrillers, things are never what they seem in this world of secrets and intrigue.

The show also stars Rhys Ifans, Michelle Forbes, Tamlyn Tomita, Richard Jenkins, Victoria Mayer, Caroline Goodall and Leland Orser.

"Berlin Station" premiered last night. You can catch the next episode on October 23rd.

Weekend Box-Office: THE ACCOUNTANT Takes Down THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN

"The Accountant" swooped in and pushed "The Girl on the Train" off its #1 position at the box-office. The stand-up comedy concert film "Kevin Hart: What Now?" also provided an impressive opening. Meanwhile, Mattel's superhero flick "Max Steel" flopped big time.
