This week in theaters we have plenty of lighthearted fun. There's the R-rated cat-centric action comedy "Keanu", then there's the pretty-terrible but star-studded holiday movie "Mother's Day", and the animated product placement movie "Ratchet and Clank". 6 New Clips for RATCHET & CLANK

Focus Features has released six clips for the animated feature "Ratchet & Clank" which is now in theaters.

The film doesn't seem to have much luck with the critics. According to the reviews, so far, it's mostly "product placement" with not much of a story to tell. Kids will surely love it, but adults will probably have a hard time dealing with this uninspired and dated video game adaptation.

The voice cast features Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Rosario Dawson, James Arnold Taylor, David Kaye and Sylvester Stallone.

MOTHER'S DAY (2016) - 9 Clips and 10 Images

The comedy "Mother's Day" opens in theaters today, and we have a batch of nine new clips and ten images from the film.

The film has been hit pretty hard by the critics. The all-star holiday flick, a trademark of late for director Garry Marshall, lacks the effort required to make it more than a bland and laugh-less disaster. Even the cast seems to be struggling with the weak material they're given.

The film stars Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts, Britt Robertson, Jason Sudeikis, Timothy Olyphant, Hector Elizondo and Jack Whitehall.

THE MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY Trailer, Clips, Images and Posters

Today we have the official trailer, clips, images and posters for the biopic "The Man Who Knew Infinity".

Written and directed by Matt Brown, the film focuses on the friendship between self-taught Indian mathematics genius Srinivasa Ramanujan (Dev Patel) and the brilliant and eccentric professor G.H. Hardy (Jeremy Irons), a friendship that would change mathematics forever.

The cast also includes Devika Bhise, Stephen Fry, Malcolm Sinclair, Jeremy Northam and Toby Jones.

"The Man Who Knew Infinity" begins a limited run in theaters today.

6 New Clips from KEANU starring Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele

Six new clips for the comedy "Keanu" have been released. The film is now in theaters and has received a lot of positive reviews. While not perfect and essentially a one-joke movie, it manages to get by with the help of its cast and rapid-fire comedy that hits more than it misses.

Directed by Peter Atencio ("Key and Peele"), the film stars Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Tiffany Haddish, Method Man, Jason Mitchell, Luis Guzman, Nia Long and Will Forte.

Open Road Films have released two official trailers, some images and a poster for the upcoming comedy "Mother's Day".

This is the third film directed by Garry Marshall ("Pretty Woman") in the star-studded holiday-focused vignette-style series that also includes "Valentine's Day" and "New Year's Eve". New MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES Red Band Trailer, Images and Poster

Today we have a new red-band trailer, a few images and a poster for the R-rated comedy "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates".

Zac Efron and Adam Devine star as two hard-partying brothers who are forced by their parents to find respectable dates to take to their sister's Hawaiian wedding. The two place an ad for wedding dates that goes viral and attracts the attention of two equally hard-partying women (Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza), who end up outsmarting the brothers for a free trip to Hawaii.

Directed by Jake Szymanski ("7 Days in Hell"), the film also stars Stephen Root, Sugar Lyn Beard, Alice Wetterlund and Sam Richardson.

"Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" opens in theaters on July 8th.

Daisy Ridley to Star in War Drama THE LOST WIFE

Daisy Ridley ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens") has signed on to star in the drama "The Lost Wife". Based on the book by Alyson Richman, the film will tell the story of a talented art student in pre-war Prague who falls in love with her best friend’s older brother, but their romance is brutally interrupted by the imminent Nazi invasion.

The script is written by Marc Klein ("Serendipity", "A Good Year"). Michelle Chydzik, Jeff Waxman and Robbie Brenner are producing the film which is currently considered top priority. No studio or director have been attached to the project, so far.

Following the praise generated by her role in "The Force Awakens", Ridley has become one of the most sought after young actresses of the moment. She is currently working on "Episode VIII" of the "Star Wars" saga, but she has also joined the J.J. Abrams-produced remake "Kolma", and there are even talks of the actress being considered for a "Tomb Raider" big-screen reboot.

SNOWDEN (2016) - Full Trailer and Poster

The first full trailer and a poster for Oliver Stone's biopic "Snowden" have been released online.

Based on the books "The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World's Most Wanted Man" and "Time of the Octopus", the film details the story of controversial CIA employee Edward Snowden (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who exposed shocking illegal surveillance activities by the NSA and became one of the most wanted men in the world.

The cast also includes Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Scott Eastwood, Zachary Quinto, Timothy Olyphant, Tom Wilkinson, Rhys Ifans, Joely Richardson, and Nicolas Cage.

"Snowden" opens in theaters on September 16th after being delayed for almost a whole year.

BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Trailer and Images

Warner Bros. has released the first full trailer and a batch of images for their direct-to-video animated feature "Batman: The Killing Joke".

Directed by Sam Liu ("Batman: Year One"), the film is based on Alan Moore and Brian Bolland's award-winning 1988 graphic novel which pits Batman against the Joker in one of their most brutal confrontations. Furthermore, the movie is rated R for "some bloody images and disturbing content", which is definitely a first in the realm of DC Comics animation.

The voice cast features veterans Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker, and they are joined by Ray Wise as Commissioner James Gordon and Tara Strong as Barbara Gordon.

Here is what the studio announced in a press release regarding the film's R rating:

"From the start of production, we encouraged producer Bruce Timm and our team at Warner Bros. Animation to remain faithful to the original story — regardless of the eventual MPAA rating,” said Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation & Warner Digital Series, in a statement. “The Killing Joke is revered by the fans, particularly for its blunt, often-shocking adult themes and situations. We felt it was our responsibility to present our core audience — the comics-loving community — with an animated film that authentically represented the tale they know all too well."

"Batman: The Killing Joke" is expected to premiere at the Comic-Con this summer followed by a release on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.

CELL (2016) Trailer and Poster

The first trailer and poster for the Stephen King adaptation "Cell" have been released online.

Directed by Tod Williams ("Paranormal Activity 2"), the film stars John Cusack as a man desperately searching for his wife and son after a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, re-programming cell phone users' minds and turning them into bloodthirsty and hyper-connected zombies (called "phoners").

The cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Stacy Keach and Catherine Dyer.

Paramount has released the official trailer, a featurette and four posters for the biopic "Florence Foster Jenkins".

A comedy, but a true story, nonetheless, the film is directed by Stephen Frears ("The Queen", "Philomena") and it stars Meryl Streep as the titular protagonist, a New York heiress who dreamed of becoming an opera singer, despite having a terrible singing voice, while her "husband" and manager, St. Clair Bayfield (Hugh Grant), an aristocratic English actor, was determined to protect his beloved Florence from the truth.

The cast also features Simon Helberg, Rebecca Ferguson, John Kavanagh and Nina Arianda.
