"Batman V Superman" made a strong debut and effortlessly dominated the box-office, while Universal's "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" had a decent opening weekend.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" demolished all competition with a spectacular $170 million opening weekend, breaking the records for a March opening weekend as well as the largest opening ever for Warner Bros. The film received some terrible reviews from critics, but it still managed to get moviegoers to see it, which was to be expected when dealing with such a monumental pairing of franchises. Overseas, the film picked up an additional $254 million.
Meanwhile, the other new release, the comedy sequel "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" pulled off a decent debut. The film landed in third place behind the still-strong Disney animated feature "Zootopia", and managed to gross $18.1 million, which is a good foundation for a $50-$70 million finish.
The other notable performances of the week belong to freshly-expanded films "Hello, My Name is Doris" and "Eye in the Sky" which made their Top 10 debut in ninth and tenth place, respectively.
New Wide Releases: "Batman V Superman", "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2".
Biggest Drop : "The Divergent Series: Allegiant" (-67%)
Smallest Drop : "Miracles From Heaven" (-35%)
