Even though Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" and Warner Bros' "Creed" gave it their best shot, it was "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" that ultimately ruled the Thanksgiving weekend box-office. Also, "Victor Frankenstein" broke a record, but not one anyone would want to break. More after the jump.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" did well this Thanksgiving with a 3-day #1 total of $51.6 million which brings its domestic cume to $198.3 million. That's still well behind it predecessors, but a major hit for Lionsgate, nonetheless, with $440 million worldwide.
Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" took second place with $39.1 million over the weekend and $55.5 million since Wednesday, the worst opening for a Pixar film since 1995's "Toy Story". Even overseas, the film only managed to gross $28 million from 92 countries. The production budget is estimated at $200 million.
At #3, the Rocky Balboa spinoff "Creed" did very well. The film earned $30.1 million in three days and $42.6 in five days versus a $35 million budget. The amazing reviews also helped and since audiences are giving it high marks, it looks like "Creed" is here to stay.
The James Bond sequel "Spectre" also handled Thanksgiving well, taking in $12.9 million, which means a small $14.9% drop, the second best holiday drop when compared to the other three Daniel Craig installments. The film has grossed $749 million worldwide.
Fox's "Victor Frankenstein" holds the worst news of the weekend. The film opened with only $2.3 million, ranking as the worst opening ever recorded for a wide release (2,500+ theaters).
New Wide Releases: "Creed", "The Good Dinosaur", "Victor Frankenstein".
