Emily Blunt ("Edge of Tomorrow") and Benicio Del Toro ("Traffic") are set to star in the thriller "Sicario" which will be directed by Denis Villeneuve ("Prisoners") from a script by Taylor Sheridan. Blunt will play a "an officer from Tuscon who travels across the border to Mexico with a pair of mercenaries in order to track down a drug lord." As for Del Toro, there's no word on what role he'll be playing, but I suspect it will be either the drug lord (best fit, I think), or one of the mercenaries. Villeneuve will begin filming "Sicario" this summer for a 2015 release, and then he will begin work on "Story of Your Life" at the beginning of next year.

Emily Blunt can also be seen this summer opposite Tom Cruise in "Edge of Tomorrow" and in the Disney musical "Into the Woods". Benicio Del Toro also stars in several projects set for release in 2014, including "Paradise Lost", Paul Thomas Anderson's "Inherent Vice" and Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy".
