"The Wife" is a drama directed by Björn Runge ("Happy End") from a script by Jane Anderson ("Olive Kitteridge") based on the novel of the same name written by Meg Wolitzer.

The film stars Glenn Close as a wife who questions her life choices as she travels to Stockholm with her husband (Jonathan Pryce), who is set to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. Christian Slater, Max Irons, Elizabeth McGovern and Alix Wilton Regan co-star.

"The Wife" premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival and received a limited release in theaters on August 17, 2018. The film received a positive reception from critics.
