Synopsis:

"Academy Award nominee Viggo Mortensen and Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali star in Participant Media and DreamWorks Pictures' Green Book. In his foray into powerfully dramatic work as a feature director, Peter Farrelly helms the film inspired by a true friendship that transcended race, class and the 1962 Mason-Dixon line.

When Tony Lip (Mortensen), a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx, is hired to drive Dr. Don Shirley (Ali), a world-class Black pianist, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South, they must rely on "The Green Book" to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans. Confronted with racism, danger -- as well as unexpected humanity and humor -- they are forced to set aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime."

With her newfound power, Ali looks to outsmart her colleagues as she races to sign the next basketball superstar, but the lengths she has to go to will put her relationship with her best friends and a potential new love interest (Aldis Hodge) to the test."

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Director: Perry Lang

Starring: David Strathairn, Brenton Thwaites, Yael Grobglas, Hill Harper, Charlbi Dean Kriek

Synopsis:

"Covering the war in Afghanistan provided journalist Paul Asher (Brenton Thwaites) with some of the best stories of his young career. But that endeavor ends up costing him so much more than he ever could have calculated.

Upon returning home, Paul struggles to deal with the after-effects of his experiences, a failing marriage, and his dying faith. Not knowing where to turn, Paul dives deeply into the story of a lifetime -- an interview with a mysterious man claiming to be God (David Strathairn).

What does an inquisitive reporter ask God? What would you ask?

Sitting down with this mysterious man over the course of three fateful days, Paul finds himself answering as many questions as he asks. While wrestling with what he knows and what he's unsure of, Paul finds himself at the crossroads we all come to in our lives: Who do we say God is?"

Climax (2018)

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Director: Gaspar Noe

Starring: Sofia Boutella

Synopsis:

"From director Gaspar Noe comes a hypnotic, hallucinatory, and ultimately hair-raising depiction of a party that descends into delirium over the course of one wintry night. In Climax, a troupe of young dancers gathers in a remote and empty school building to rehearse.

Following an unforgettable opening performance lit by virtuoso cinematographer Benoit Debie and shot by Noe himself, the troupe begins an all-night celebration that turns nightmarish as the dancers discover they've been pounding cups of sangria laced with potent LSD. Tracking their journey from jubilation to chaos and full-fledged anarchy, Noe observes crushes, rivalries, and violence amid a collective psychedelic meltdown.

Starring Sofia Boutella and a cast of professional dancers, Climax is Noe's most brazen and visionary statement yet."

Arizona (August 24, 2018)

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Director: Jonathan Watson

Starring: Danny McBride, Rosemarie DeWitt, Luke Wilson, Kaitlin Olson, David Alan Grier, Elizabeth Gillies, Lolli Sorenson

Synopsis:

"Cassie (Rosemarie DeWitt) is a real estate agent and single mom struggling to keep it all together during the housing crisis of 2009. Her problems go from bad to worse when disgruntled client Sonny (Danny McBride) violently confronts Cassie's boss and then kidnaps Cassie -- making one outrageously bad, and bloody, decision after another.

Things completely spiral out of control in this explosive action comedy, also starring Luke Wilson, Kaitlin Olson, David Alan Grier, and Elizabeth Gillies."

The Guilty (October 9, 2018)

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Director: Gustav Moller

Starring: Jakob Cedergren, Jessica Dinnage, Johan Olsen, Omar Shargaw

Synopsis:

"When police officer Asger Holm (Jakob Cedergren) is demoted to desk work, he expects a sleepy beat as an emergency dispatcher. That all changes when he answers a panicked phone call from a kidnapped woman who then disconnects abruptly. Asger, confined to the police station, is forced to use others as his eyes and ears as the severity of the crime slowly becomes more clear. The search to find the missing woman and her assailant will take every bit of his intuition and skill, as a ticking clock and his own personal demons conspire against him. This innovative and unrelenting Danish thriller uses a single location to great effect, ratcheting up the tension as twists pile up and secrets are revealed.

Director Gustav Moller expertly frames the increasingly messy proceedings against the clean Scandinavian sterility of the police department, while Cedergren's strong performance anchors the film and places the audience squarely in Holm's tragically flawed yet well-intentioned mindspace."
