Co-written and directed by Richard Lanni, the animated film "Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero" tells the true story of of a stray Boston Terrier who became a hero of the First World War, the most decorated dog in American history, and the first canine to receive the rank of Sergeant. The film features the voices of Logan Lerman, Helena Bonham Carter, Gerard Depardieu, Brian Cock, Jordan Beck, Nicholas Rulon and Jason Ezzell.

"Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero" opened in theaters on April 13, 2018 and received mostly positive reviews from critics. The film grossed $1.3 million in its opening weekend at the box-office from 1,658 theaters.
