"Isle of Dogs" is a new stop-motion animation film from writer/director Wes Anderson (" The Grand Budapest Hotel"). The story is set in Japan, on the titular island where all dogs are quarantined following an outbreak of canine flu, and it follows a young boy who journeys there to rescue his dog.

The film features the voices of Koyu Rankin, Bryan Cranston, Edwart Norton, Liev Schreiber, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Jeff Goldblum, Tilda Swinton, Bob Balaban, Frances McDormand, Harvey Keitel, F. Murray Abraham, Akira Ito, Yoko Ono, Ken Watanabe and Greta Gerwig.

"Isle of Dogs" premiered at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival where Wes Anderson won the Silver Bear for Best Director. In the U.S. it was released in select theaters on March 23, 2018 and is set to expand nationwide on April 13, 2018. It received almost universal praise from critics and has grossed $12 million, so far, at the domestic box-office.

"In this stop-motion-animated film from writer/director Wes Anderson, an outbreak of canine flu in Japan leads all dogs to be quarantined on an island. A boy (voice of Koyu Rankin) journeys there to rescue his dog Spots (Liev Schreiber), and gets help from a pack of misfit canines who have also been exiled. His quest inspires a group of dog lovers to expose a government conspiracy. The voice cast also includes Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Bob Balaban, Greta Gerwig, and Yoko Ono."
