The drama "The Miracle Season" is based on the true story of the Iowa City West High School volleyball team who banded together under the guidance of their tough-love coach (Helen Hunt) in hopes of winning the state championship following the tragic death of team leader Caroline Found (Danika Yarosh).

The film is directed by Sean McNamara ("Soul Surfer") from a script written by David Aaron Cohen ("Friday Night Lights") and Elissa Matsueda ("Spare Parts"), and it also stars Erin Moriarty, Tiera Skovbye, Burkely Duffield, Nesta Cooper and William Hurt.

"The Miracle Season" opened in theaters on April 6, 2018 and received mixed reviews from critics. It grossed $4.1 million in its opening weekend at the box-office from 1,707 theaters.
